Paula Dodd
Owner, HCS and Texas Home Living Provider
Paula Angeli Dodd is the proprietor of There's No Place Like Here. Paula has been working with people with developmental disabilities for 32 years. She has worked for private as well as government agencies such as DAR's, Paralyzed Veterans of America, the City of Pasadena - Multipurpose Center, and Association for the Developmentally Disabled. She has also volunteered with Texas Special Olympics, the Texas International Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, Quad Rugby, Wheelchair Softball, Toronto Spitfire Wheelchair Basketball tournament and the Veterans Wheelchair Games. She is a native Houstonian.
Terri Dunning
Day Habilitation Director
Terri Dunning has been the day hab director for There's No Place Like Here since it opened In October 2010. Her goal each day is to provide a place where individuals with developmental disabilities can come and gain skills, self confidence and friendships through positive experiences. She has a degree in education and has worked and volunteered for the Pasadena Multipurpose Center and Special Olympics for over 30 years.
Daniel Kristensen
Music Director
Danny has been a staff member at There's No Place Like Here for over a year. He was first introduced to individuals with developmental disabilities through his daughter Jazz, who was president of Best Buddies at Memorial High School In Pasadena. His specialty is music facilitation. He has been a professional musician, and guitar teacher for 40 years.

Brenda Cardenas
Registered Nurse
Brenda was previously a home health aide and became an RN in 2014. Since working at TNPLH, she has completed several trainings on IDD and mental health. Brenda believes that her sister Sara has been the greatest influence on her career. Her favorite part of working at TNPLH is interacting with the individuals and families, advocating, providing safe direct care, discussing ways to maintain and improve health, and ensuring the safety of our clients. Brenda wishes to be the world's best nurse!
Desiree Martinez
HCS / TxHmL Case Manager
Desiree has been a Case Manager at TNPLH for a year. Before working with us, she was a paraprofessional for Pasadena ISD working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She feels her career has been influenced greatly by the students and clients she has been blessed to work with throughout her career. They inspire her to strive to be the best she can be at her job. Her favorite part of working at TNPLH is interacting with the clients, families, and staff to help them receive the best possible care. In her free time, Desiree tries to be the very best dog whisperer!
